What Instagram requires
Instagram's publishing rules, and the way Okashare connects to Instagram, decide these.
- A professional account. Publishing through Instagram's official connection works for Business and Creator accounts, not personal ones.
- A linked Facebook Page. Okashare connects through Facebook sign-in, which finds your Instagram account through the Page it is linked to. Okashare lists the accounts your sign-in can reach.
- JPEG photos. Instagram publishes JPEG only. Okashare converts a PNG or WebP photo before it is sent.
- Processing time. Instagram needs a minute or two to process a video before it can be published. Okashare waits for it and reports the result.
From idea to a live Reel
- Connect your Instagram account through Facebook sign-in. You can disconnect it at any time.
- Put the idea on the board, attach the video or photo, write the caption and approve it.
- Pick the day and the minute, and put it on the calendar. Until it is being published you can move it, release it now or cancel it.
- At that minute Okashare sends the post to Instagram and confirms when it is live.
- Views, reach, likes, comments, shares and saves come back over the following hours and days.
What to know before you schedule
- A post from a Business or Creator account is public the moment it goes out. Instagram offers no private option.
- Carousels and Stories are not available in the console. Okashare publishes Reels and single-photo feed posts.
